Higher Standards Come From This...

Context.

A lot of people think working out twice a day is too much

They think the same way with drinking anything close to a gallon of water

or going weeks/months without a cheat meal

Here's the thing...

It seems impossible until you've done it.

Once you get out of your comfort zone and stretch yourself, you automatically raise your standards

Drinking a gallon of water and staying properly hydrated makes drinking 8 glasses a day feel like you're living in the desert

Once you workout twice a day for a certain period of time, its hard to go a day without going out for a walk

It becomes impossible to skip the gym 3 days in a row, let alone 1 or 2 days.

Not because you don't know how to relax and let yourself recover. That's necessary sometimes (major injuries, for example).

Its because you've exposed yourself to a new way of living that raises your standards.

Plus when you see how raising your standards in health & wellness spills over into discipline in other areas of life, you can't go back.

You gain new context for what you're capable of.
