Searching for Happiness
Everyone’s heard the saying about insanity
“Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result”
A lot of fitness & living a healthy lifestyle is about sacrifice
Sacrificing old habits
Old substances
Old drinks that you used to consume daily (or a lot)
Giving up certain foods
A lot of people find themselves going back to these things more often than they would like, expecting themselves to feel okay with it
They usually rely on an article that says you can eat whatever you want and lose weight..
Or that habits they know they should be dropping is actually good for them in ‘moderation’
The reality is that you’re going to have to give up old vices & habits in order to level up.
You can’t keep searching for happiness in the same place that took it away from you.
There are some habits you can indulge occasionally, and do so guilt-free
Some things you may be called to give up forever if it really is that much of a problem
But if you’re expecting to let yourself completely off the hook once a week
You’re going to be disappointed
Your conscience knows what’s right.
